About Me
This portfolio showcases a selection of dashboards and analysis projects I have built, covering topics from property markets to ecommerce performance.
Why the move away from Maths teaching?
Teaching has been a huge part of my life and I genuinely loved it, particularly my time at St Paul's. But the move out of teaching has been something I'd had in mind for a while, and the timing has finally aligned. I am now making a big life change anyway moving away from London for more space for our young family, and it felt like the natural moment to make the career move I'd been thinking about for some time.
The interest in data built gradually. I taught computing at RGS and have always been comfortable with technology, but when I took on data analyst responsibilities at Kew House School, something clicked. I genuinely enjoyed the work in a way that felt different, and I could see I was making a real difference to how the business operated. That's when I knew it was the direction I wanted to head.
Teaching gave me a lot: the ability to communicate clearly, break down complex ideas, and manage competing priorities. I think those skills translate well into analytics, and I'm ready for a role where I can go deeper on the technical side and grow in a direction that genuinely energises me.
